01 · The basics
What we do.
- What is QuarterSmart?
- QuarterSmart is an early-adoption AI partner for owner-led businesses. We track new AI launches, tell each business which ones matter to it, then set the tools up in its own accounts and train the team to use them.
- Who is QuarterSmart for?
- Owner-led and operator-led businesses of roughly 10 to 250 people that see AI in the news every week but have nobody whose job is to track it. It fits best when the week goes to email, scheduling, follow-ups and the same questions asked twice.
- Isn't this just AI news?
- The news is free, and we publish ours free too. What clients pay for is the filter for their own tools, and the work of setting things up and training the team.
- What does "day one" mean?
- The first day a tool is available to your account. Rollouts are often staggered by plan, region or company size. We prepare before that day so setup can start right away.
- Can you get us early access to new tools?
- Access is controlled by the vendor, so we can't promise it. We tell you when a waitlist or beta opens, help you apply, and have a setup plan ready for the day you're in.
- Isn't early adoption risky?
- It can be. That's why every Signal ends in a verdict, and why every setup starts with a small test before the whole team uses it.
- Do we have to switch software?
- Usually not. We start with the tools you already pay for, because that's often where the fastest wins are: AI features that shipped quietly and never got switched on. If a new tool is worth adding, we'll explain why before you buy it.
- We already pay for AI tools nobody uses. Can you help?

02 · Signals
How Signals works.
- How is Signals sourced?
- From vendor blogs, changelogs and release notes, credible tech press, and public posts from the companies' own staff.
- Are early reports reliable?
- Not always. We label them unconfirmed, cite our sources, and update the post when the company confirms or denies them. Our record is on the Signals Log.
- What do the verdicts mean?
- Every Signal ends in one of four verdicts. Act now means it's worth setting up this week. Prepare means get ready, because it isn't available or confirmed yet. Wait means it isn't ready for most businesses. Ignore means it isn't worth your time. Wait and Ignore are common. That's the point.
- How often will you email us?
- Signals Weekly is one email on Mondays. We send a short alert in between only when something needs action that week. Unsubscribe any time.
- Is a Signal advice?
- No. Signals is general information about third-party products, written for a typical business. It isn't legal, security or financial advice. Members get verdicts written for their own tools and setup.
03 · Working with us
Membership and how to start.
- How do we start?
- Book a free 20-minute call. If there's a fit, most businesses start with a Head Start.
- How much does it cost?
- Signals is free, and so is the 20-minute call. Everything else is scoped to your team and your tools on that call, and confirmed in writing before any work starts. See all services.
- What's in a Head Start?
- A kickoff call, a review of the software you already pay for, a short list of the launches most relevant to your business with a verdict on each, and a 30-day plan: what to turn on, what to train and what to ignore. It takes about a week and ends with a readout call.
- How does First Quarter membership work?
- Members get Signals filtered to their own tools, delivered the same business day for anything that affects their setup. Every month includes setup and build hours, and members are first in line on launch weeks. Core includes a Rollout Session for the team each quarter. Pro adds more hours, a Rollout Session every month, and a recap call within one business day of major events.
- Is there a minimum term, and can we cancel?
- First Quarter has a 3-month minimum. After that it runs month to month, and you can stop at the end of any month. Head Start and Day One Setup are one-time projects with no ongoing commitment.
- Who will we work with?
- Hyrum Hurst, the founder. He builds the systems, writes Signals, and is the person you talk to on the call and through the rollout. No account managers, no hand-offs to people you haven't met. We keep membership small so response times hold.
- Do you work outside Arizona?
- Yes. We're based in Arizona and work with businesses across the US. Most of the work happens on calls and inside your own accounts.
04 · Trust and limits
Security and what we won't do.
- How do you handle security and our data?
- We set tools up inside accounts you own, with the least access each tool needs. Every setup starts with a small test, and during that test a person approves anything the tool sends outside your company. We don't put patient health information into a tool unless it's covered by a business associate agreement. You hold the logins, and you can remove our access at any time.
- What won't you do?
- We won't promise early access, because vendors control it. We won't set up a tool just because it's new. We don't run generic "Intro to AI" seminars, and we only train on tools your team actually has.
