How we source Signals.
Signals covers AI launches, early-access programs, quiet product updates and credible reports. These are the rules behind every post: where it comes from, how sure we are, and what happens when we get something wrong.
Public information only.
Everything in Signals was public before we wrote about it. We post as fast as we can verify, label how sure we are, and update the post when the facts change.
Where we look

- Official blogs, changelogs and release notes

- Changelogs of the business software you already pay for

- Credible tech reporting
- People
- Public posts from the companies' own staff
- Public sources only.Published reporting, public product screens and public posts. If it isn't public, we don't cover it.
- Nothing confidential.We don't solicit, accept or publish confidential documents, credentials, private source code, or anything obtained by breaking a terms of service.
- Unconfirmed until confirmed.A reported item keeps the label "Reported · unconfirmed" until the company confirms or denies it.
- Sources on every post.Primary sources first, meaning the company's own post or the original author, then the reporting.
- Links to the original.We link to screenshots and posts where they were first published. We don't copy other people's screenshots onto our site.
- Corrections with timestamps.Every correction is logged at the bottom of the post with the time, marked "Correction."
How sure we are. What to do about it.
Every Signal carries one status label, and every news Signal ends in one verdict. The label says how sure we are. The verdict says what a typical business should do this week.
Status labels
- Reported
- Publicly reported, not confirmed by the company. Always marked "Reported · unconfirmed."
- Confirmed
- Announced by the company, not yet available to most accounts.
- Available
- You can use it now, on the plans listed.
- Early access
- A waitlist, beta or preview is open.
- Quiet update
- A change inside a tool you may already pay for, often only in a changelog.
- Event
- A launch event we're covering.
- Insight
- Our own analysis or a how-to, not news about a single launch. Nothing to confirm.
- Weekly roundup
- A digest of the week's items.
Inside a post, single claims can also be marked Speculation (a guess, with no report behind it) or Unknown (nobody has said yet).
Verdicts
- Act now
- Worth doing this week for most businesses it applies to.
- Prepare
- Not ready yet, but a little groundwork now saves time later.
- Wait
- Promising, not ready. We'll tell you when that changes.
- Ignore
- Noise for a working business. Skip it.
Wait and Ignore are common verdicts. That's the point.
Insight posts and weekly roundups explain a trend rather than one launch, so they carry no verdict.
When we're wrong, and who pays us.
Spotted a mistake?
Email hyrum@quartersmart.com with the link and what you think is wrong. If we got it wrong, we fix the post, add a timestamped correction to its update log, and record the outcome on the Signals Log.
Reported items stay on the Log whether they turn out right or wrong, so you can check our record.
Who pays us.
Clients pay us for setup, training and membership. There are no paid placements in Signals.
