Who we are
QuarterSmart is an early-adoption AI partner based in Mesa, Arizona. You can reach us at hyrum@quartersmart.com with any question about this policy or the information we hold.
What this site collects
This is a static website. We do not run advertising cookies, we do not run analytics that profile you, and we do not ask you to create an account. We do not set tracking cookies of our own.
Apart from the standard server logs and page-speed measurements our host keeps (see Hosting and fonts), we only receive what you choose to send us: a form you fill in, or an email you write.
Signals Weekly
Signals Weekly is our free email: one issue on Mondays, and a short alert in between only when something needs action that week.
What we collect. The signup form sends us two things: your email address, and a note of which page you signed up on, such as the home page or a Signals post. Nothing else is asked for.
How it is collected. The form runs on Netlify Forms, a feature of Netlify, the company that hosts this site. Netlify stores each signup for us along with standard technical details such as the time, your IP address and your browser type, and may check submissions with automated spam filtering.
What we use it for. Sending you Signals Weekly and the occasional alert, and replying if you write back. We use the signup page only to learn which pages bring readers in.
How it is sent. Issues are delivered through an email service provider that stores your address and sends the email for us. We give it your address only so it can deliver Signals Weekly. Any open or click counts it reports are used only as totals, to learn which topics are useful, and never to profile individual readers.
How to unsubscribe. Reply "unsubscribe" to any issue, or email hyrum@quartersmart.com and tell us the address to remove. We take you off the list promptly, and always within 10 business days.
How long we keep it. Until you unsubscribe. After that we remove you from the list, though we may keep a note that you unsubscribed so you are not added back by mistake.
What we don't do. We do not sell, rent or trade your email address, and we don't add you to any other list without asking.
Email and booked calls
If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to share: your name, your email address, and what you tell us about your business. We use it only to reply to you and to scope possible work. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone who is not helping us respond to you.
If you book a call on our booking page, the name, email and note you enter go to our own scheduling system, which we run ourselves, to create the calendar invite. We use them only to hold the call.
What your browser remembers
The site saves three small values in your browser's localStorage. The theme switcher (evergreen, midnight, obsidian, rose, forest or paper) saves your choice under the key qs-theme. A small hidden game on the site saves which quarters you have found under qs-quarters and qs-quarters-toast.
None of them holds anything about you. They stay on your device, are never sent to us or to anyone else, and are not cookies. To reset them, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Hosting and fonts
The site is hosted by Netlify, which may log standard request data such as IP address and browser type for security and reliability. Netlify also runs a small script on our pages that measures how quickly they load. We use it only to see how fast the site is, not to follow individual visitors.
Our typefaces are self-hosted on our own domain, so loading them does not send your information to any third party. Apart from Netlify's page-speed script, we use no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
We don't sell data
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the services that help us run this site, send Signals Weekly and book calls, and only so they can do that job. We may also disclose it when the law requires it.
Your choices
You can email hyrum@quartersmart.com at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We will do our best to honor reasonable requests promptly.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or our practices change. The date at the top shows the most recent revision.
